Il Boeing 737 dal suo ingresso in servizio, avvenuto nel lontano 1968 con Lufthansa cliente di lancio della versione 100, sono emerse subito le enormi potenzialità e le qualità del progetto lanciato 4 anni prima dal costruttore statunitense.
